The house is rented out and entrusted to your care. Please use it as if it were your own, with all the responsibility of a good homeowner.
INSIDE THE HOUSE:
Heat: The house is exclusively built with cut stone, which naturally protects against heat. The terrace and virgin vine slow down the spread of heat. If the house is aired out early in the morning when temperatures are cooler, and shutters are closed and windows kept shut during the day, you can maintain a temperature about 10 degrees cooler than outside. This is much more effective than air conditioning.
Water: The house does not have city water or sewer. The water comes from a well and is perfectly treated and drinkable. Regular testing is conducted.
Kitchen: Never pour oil down the drain and always wipe plates with paper towels before putting them in the dishwasher. The house doesn’t have a sewer system, and the drainage system, though compliant with regulations, can get clogged easily.
Master Bedroom Toilet: Always use the left button, never the right one, otherwise the pipes may get blocked.
General Toilet Use: Do not flush tampons or pads. Avoid using too much toilet paper at once. It's better to flush multiple times if needed.
Heating: The central heating is set automatically (from 8 AM to 9:30 AM and from 8 PM to midnight), but there’s an option for additional electric heating if needed. Remember to turn it off at night.
Furniture: Do not move any indoor furniture.
Multimedia: Do not move any multimedia equipment in the house (stereo, TVs, boxes, etc.).
Noise: Although the house is relatively isolated from neighbors, the area is quiet. Please keep noise down after 10 PM.
Leaving the House: When you leave the property, make sure to close all doors and windows. Leave nothing open.
OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY:
Fire: It is forbidden to make fire in the garden.
Barbecue: Only use charcoal for barbecuing. Use gel alcohol to light it. There are 2 barbecues; preferably use the mobile one, which is newer and of better quality. Never barbecue under trees; always in an open area. Additionally, due to frequent fire alerts, barbecuing is not highly recommended. If you do barbecue, follow these instructions:
Garden Furniture and Table: Feel free to move them around, but please return them to their original place when you leave.
Trash: Yellow bags are for paper, cardboard, and plastics. Black bags for everything else. Please sort the trash correctly. The community conducts checks and fines are frequent.
Pets: Pets are not allowed, except under special circumstances.
Flowers: There are some flowers and plants around the terrace. Your help in watering them, especially during the hot months of July and August, would be appreciated.
Pool: A gardener will check the pool at least once, clean the skimmers, and add chlorine. If it's windy, don't hesitate to use the surface net to remove leaves. Too many leaves in the skimmer can hinder water filtration, affecting its quality and your swimming experience. Remember this!
Flies, Mosquitoes: The house is in the Provençal countryside. In the warm seasons, flies and mosquitoes are common. All bedrooms are equipped with mosquito nets, and you’ll find effective anti-mosquito devices at each outlet. For outdoor use, especially at dusk, don’t hesitate to use pyrethrum coils and arm yourself with a 5/5 spray, which is very effective.
Ping Pong Table: If you use it, don’t leave it in the sun, rain, or wind unnecessarily. Fold it and store it under the pool house.
UPON YOUR ARRIVAL:
Welcome: You will be greeted by Dorine or another authorized person. They know the place well, so don’t hesitate to ask them any questions about the house to familiarize yourself with it.
Contact: Their contact details will be provided to you. After entering the house, you can contact them in case of emergency if you cannot reach me.
Inspection: During the tour, feel free to make remarks or comments if you notice anything unusual.
Availability: The entire team will be fully available during your stay. As for us, Karolina and I remain available at any time via Whatsapp or phone if needed.
Directions: When you come, do not use the Waze app. Its mapping is not up to date. Use Google Maps instead.
UPON YOUR DEPARTURE:
Trash: Empty all trash bins, including small ones in the rooms, and dispose of them in the large bins located on the paths outside the property.
Selective Sorting: Yellow trash bags are for recyclable items, and grey for others. Yellow bins are collected by the community on Tuesdays, and household waste on Thursdays. You must place the rolling bins located in the garden outside the property next to the mailbox.
House Linen: Gather all sheets and towels in two separate piles and put them in the cellar of the main house.
Cleaning: You’re not asked to clean, but please organize the house so it’s in an acceptable state.
Supplies: If you use toilet paper rolls, paper towels, condiments, oils, dishwashing liquids, dishwasher tablets, laundry products, etc., please think to replace them.
Damage: If you break anything, it's better to talk about it during the checkout than for us to find out afterwards.
We wish you an excellent stay! Enjoy this beautiful region.
P.S.: If you wish to go cycling, we have 4 adult bikes and one child bike available for a weekend or week fee, which we’ll communicate if needed.
